  1. BRUCE LEE: As a young boy, Bruce Lee (1940-
  2. 1974) wandered the streets of HONG KONG 
  3. picking up streetfighting methods until he 
  4. began formal study of the classical Kung-fu 
  5. form of WING CHUN under the grand 
  6. master Yip Man. As a young man he moved 
  7. to the United States where he continued to 
  8. train and developed his own form of KUNG-FU
  9. called JEET KUNE DO, or "way of the 
  10. intercepting fist." While perfecting his own 
  11. martial art he was accepted to play the role of 
  12. Kato in a television series, the Green Hornet. 
  13. This launched his acting career and in 1967 
  14. he returned to his native Hong Kong to make 
  15. the KUNG-FU movies that would popularize 
  16. the martial arts in the West, including "The 
  17. Big Boss" and "Enter the Dragon." In 1974, at 
  18. the height of his career, Lee died under 
  19. mysterious circumstances. (See also Kung-fu
